About Us
Volunteer
Volunteer opportunities exist at each of Audubon’s Nature Education Centers and sanctuaries. At our facilities, volunteers get involved with everything from native plant gardening to trail building and maintenance, acting as trained Teacher Naturalists in our education programs, getting involved in research and monitoring through our citizen science programs, leading field trips, helping with newsletters and assisting around the office. There is something for everyone!
In our Advocacy programs, volunteers receive all of the information they need to write letters or make phone calls to elected officials, write letters to the editor, attend local meetings on key environmental issues and other activities that help influence the public policy program. Click here to join the Audubon CT Activist network!
In our Bird Conservation Programs, volunteers can adopt an Important Bird Area in their community, participate in bird monitoring programs, and get involved in other stewardship activities designed to restore or protect these critical areas for birds.
For more information about volunteer opportunities, call Tiffany Witmer at 203-869-5272, or send an e-mail to ct@audubon.org.
