The Friends of Conte recently submitted an endorsement to representatives of the House and Senate for the $6 million appropriation request by the Administration from the FY11 Interior and Related Agencies Appropriations bill for the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge is a regional and national treasure that merits continued investment to more fully meet the Congressionally legislated purposes as well as the needs and expectations of area residents and visitors alike.
